About Me.

I'm a baby-wearing, co-sleeping, breastfeeding, mathematical Ph.D. mama and proud of it!

Mathematics is my passion but people are the most valuable part of my life. People like my family, people like my friends, people like my colleagues, people like my students.

People always come first. As humans, we need to take care of eachother but also we need to remember to take care of ourselves.

Though I am a citizen of the US, I was born in the Netherlands. When I was 7, my family moved into the view of the deep blue green and purple colored mountains surrounding the Shenandoah Valley, VA.

Now that I am a wife to an amazing environmental scientist and mother to our three beautiful daughters, I want more than ever to put down roots and settle in for a lifetime. I have found a small green corner of earth complete with berry bushes, fruit trees, goats, and chickens to call home. My aim is to find a mathematical department to make that home complete.
